Welcome to the Website of the
Marist Sisters of Asia-Pacific!

We are a Religious Congregation of women who form one branch of a “family tree” including Marist Fathers, Marist Brothers, Marist Missionary Sisters (SMSM) and Marist Laity.

In post-revolutionary France the seeds of this tree were planted. Inspired by Mary’s presence in the early Church, the pioneer Marists believed they were called by her to renew the suffering Church of their own time.

Today – in Aotearoa-New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and the Philippines – we too strive to live the Gospel as Mary did. In her name we live and act. It is Mary herself who gives focus to our lives and our mission, rather than any special work or particular devotion. It is she who is still inviting new members to join us – most recently from the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Tonga.
